Only tested it for opening .mpp files. For this purpose the software serves very well, with a reasonable amout of flexibility on managing the gantt chart for getting the proper view.

It is always a good idea to see if a proposed solution will actually do the job.Alas, in this case, the demo showed that this particular product would/could not recover the key for the software that I'm trying to recover, and that I believed it would, based on the list provided. No joy.I thank you for the chance to test your product in a way that satisfied my curiosity, without damage to either of us.

Works great. Can now open *.cmd files even though .cmd is still associated with Chem Draw on this computer.

Unable to download because of getting shunted to another window which seems irrelevant

I downloaded help explorer as I'm testing Windows 7, which will NOT allow the use of older help files... I was hoping help explorer would. It does let me see some of the help files but not quite the same as they are in Windows xp. I'm still looking for an aftermarket viewer that will simply run old help files on Windows 7

I think what happened is I selected "review", then discovered I had to register (?) before I could download, and did not want to register. I found another freebie that served my needs.Thank you.

I did not actually review the product - I thought I was going to need it but found my problem with viewing CHM files was a security issue in XP which I have resolved.Thanks and good luck!

Project Viewer on Linux under Java I downloaded you Vierwier for Linux which appears to be version 3.0.It loaded OK and runs the example projects 100%, but when I try and view my Project files it does nothing, not even an error.Am I missing something here ?

collaboration solution Affinion provided me with a perfectly suited collaboration solution, where I can comment on the project tasks and planning, without the full blown MS-Project installation.

general comments The Linux version refused to start complaining that some required field (jnlp) is missing from the launch file. Windows version - I haven't tested in native Windows, but it refused to work under wine, unfortunately.

unsuccessful in viewing document We had a file created with Microsoft Project 4.0/4.1/95/98 and we needed to gain access. The website advertised that your product would do that, it was unsuccessful.I'm sure it's a good product, but it didn't accomplish what we needed so we had to go another route.

I have many English and Chinese .psw files to open. TMV 2010 opens all the English ones without a glitch. Although it says Chinese is supported (both Traditional & Simplified), it fails to decode the Chinese ones. I downloaded your software to view open office docs. The software downloaded and installed fine - however at first would not open a file attached to an email in my Outlook 2000. Only after saving the file to my hard drive could I open and view the file.

After having problems reinstalling open office i was unable to view previous open office files until i found this very handy tool.Simple install and does exactly what it says it does.Many thanks for a great piece of software.

I had an earlier copy of Help Explorer and was satisfied. Now I wanted a new copy for other system and downloaded 3.0 suposedly for several Linux versions including Red Hat, but could not install, the script asked for KDE specific folders (my systems are CENTOS Gnome). Did not pursue further the matter.

This worked fine for me I had some files writen in odt file and the down load was easy and installed its self with out any complications.John Allen

I searched for chm viewer Linux and found your program. All information I found indicated "free download" and stuff like that. After downloading and installing it said something about "trial version". So I spent ten minutes trying to find what that meant. When I found that the real version would cost me something like $50, I deleted the trial version before starting it the first time. kchmviewer does the job and is included in my OS.

I am intersted in getting a help explorer type program that will work with Ubuntu Linux, however when I follow the link to download the Linux version I am confronted with I believe to be a Russian page which I am unable to go further with the download....jrclat

Unpleasant surprise Hi,I've tried to install & run your viewer yesterday, but I was unpleasantly surprised - nothing happened (no window appeared or any STDOUT or STDERR message was shown), after I run it (why is the installation process asking for a PATH directory anyway? There is no much use for a PATH link, called "help" in BASH - it has it's own (preferred) program, called help already. As I have never seen this program running, I don't really feel competent to answer questions below.
